Alerts fire on the crossing, not while a value sits on one side, so you get one message when something changes instead of a stream of them. Each rule waits out a cooldown afterwards, and no account gets more than three alert emails in a day.

The squeeze score blends paper claims per deliverable ounce, the 30-day change in the registered free float, retail tightness (dealer premiums and stockouts) and the silver lease rate. Any input whose feed is down is dropped and the rest are reweighted, so the number is only ever built from live readings.

How the checks run

Every reading is bounds-checked before it can trigger anything: a value outside its plausible range is treated as a broken data source, discarded and logged rather than emailed. Checks run on the stored reading after a feed update is confirmed, not on every price poll. After an alert fires, the value has to move about 2% back inside your threshold before that rule can fire again, so a number oscillating around your level does not fill your inbox.
